Join us for a two-day workshop where you'll explore the historic printing process while harnessing the power of the sun and botanicals. On the second day, we'll delve deeper into the technique by utilizing digital negatives and other innovative methods to enhance your creative experience.
Day 1 will focus on learning the rich history behind the cyanotype process, allowing us to explore both historic and contemporary artists who have utilized this medium. We will gain hands-on experience as we learn to mix the necessary chemicals, expertly coat papers, and create prints using various botanicals collected from nature. On Day 2, we will shift our attention to working with your personal images, delving into the process of contact printing with specially created digital negatives. Additionally, we will explore the exciting techniques of toning prints and printing beautifully on fabric, allowing for a diverse range of creative expressions.
